~Chromatic Dispersion

in the chromatic dispersion consists of two phenomena: material and wave dispersion.  Material dispersion is caused by the change of refractive index of silica glass as a function of wavelength. Since there is no strictly monochromatic light source, because each light pulse consists of a group of distributed optical frequencies propagate at different speeds, the mode  reaching  after it has been a part of the fiber, is characterized by blur in time . Waveguide dispersion is the dependence of effective refractive index of the frequency. Waveguide dispersion is partly caused by the wandering beam cladding. The speed of propagation depends on the material properties of the shell.
